The Indigenous Sounds of the T'Boli Tribe
This website is dedicated to the conservation of indigenous music and culture originating in The Philippines. The people of the T'Boli Tribe are 1 of 18 different Fillipino groups that live on Mindanao (an island in the Philippines).
The T'Boli live west of General Santos in the vast island chain. They still adhere to their traditional way of life which is distinguished through custom and culture. Self-sufficient farming allows for the tribe to live in relatively poor economic circumstances in the mountains. However, under the veil of struggle brews rich and beautiful cultural practices.
