More than 95% of the T'Boli retain their animistic religion, or that there is no separation between the spiritual and physical world.  As seen with other indigenous cultures throughout the world, you find a dependence on percussive music and melody as a way to connect with the spirit world.

 

They fashion their drums with the hides of goats and mold the gongs to be tuned pentatonically.  They carve pipes from bamboo and shape the wood for their lutes and drums from the indigenous trees on the islands.
